Bree Screencaps ~ The Ring Calls....

Cont'd. from the previous entry....

Note: once again I brightened and sharpened these images.

Here is an unretouched frame from the sequence:

Frodo has begun to fiddle with the Ring, the camera watching his hands turn it about in close-up. The voice of the Ring begins to be heard, whispering, "Baggins, Baggins...."

At first Frodo relaxes at the sound of it, as if falling into a trance....

The camera moves closer. His face has begun to sweat:

Tension begins to show, as if Frodo is sensing and feeling something less than pleasant.

Suddenly, over the top of the chant-like whispering of his name, Pippin's voice is heard calling out, "Baggins" -- the name which was not to be uttered outside of the Shire.

In extreme close-up, Frodo winces. The sound seems to recall him, dragging him back to consciousness:

~ To be cont'd...

Oh, my, his eyes in those last two frames are just overwhelming. We've all seen and heard eyes described as pools of blue, but this is the real thing. Wells of utter black surrounded by ocean blue pupils so limpid you can see all the way down into his soul. Apprehension, shock, fear, all in those eyes. The color in these shots is gorgeous, the make up so beautifully done.

That isn't sweat. I've been licking his face.

Really, is there anything more astonishingly beautiful than Frodo in Bree?

It's really amazing the passage between pain/distress and astonishment in the last six pics. His expression convey quite the innocence of a child facing unfamiliar feelings.
And his eyelashes!!

Oh yes, the last two pictures - and those eyelashes!

Isn't that absolutely great what this boy with his eyes is able to do? These are whole worlds of overwhelming helplessness and pain he has to fight. And hes such an enchanting creature! A lovely, suffering angel.
Oh, my poor heart, please keep on beating!

Is he of this world?

Someone wrote in one of the threads at KD:

'Elijah/Frolijah is proof that God loves us.'

I am in full agreement.

Everyone before me said it so beautifully! He is amazing as an actor, you can see all those different feelings in him, he's so childlike and innocent and sweet, and he's Frodo there, not Elijah, and he's beautiful as can be! And he looks about as tired as I feel right now! Thank you for these :)

Wow, I am amazed how much detail can be seen now that they are much lighter. Thank you! *mumbles something about big eyes*

I can't really add much to the wonderfully eloquent comments above - his loveliness just makes me ache. As I said to someone yesterday, when commenting on some lovely Fro pics, I am just so grateful that I wasn't born in another age when I would have known nothing of my beloved Frodo - what an unbearable thought!! Brilliant caps as always:)

As always, your caps really are incredibly beautiful.

Looking at the first caps, for the first time I noticed something I hadn't before, that his right eyelid is drooping more quickly than the left. How adorable.

*sighs and moans* *joins you all in the licking*

I can't add that much to the comments above. Whenever I'm watching the DVD's I can only see Frodo, not Elijah Wood. And he's so beautiful, especially his voice.
Your screencaps make me sigh, those eyes and those lashes. So gorgeous, the Bree scene is one of my favourite Frodo scene.
Thank you sweetheart for those lovely screencaps ((((hugs))))
