I have a copy of that pic in the book I bought from the Hermitage, and I never noticed the girl was so flat-chested. Interesting. The book also suggested the painting might be about the transient nature of beauty, (sob!) with the fiddle having a broken string. Or about the five senses. It's working on my senses, anyway.
