Aquila, I just found and took a quick look at frodo_het. The mission statement on its User Info page sounded just the ticket - posting and rec'cing Frodo het stories.
The actual journal, however, looks moribund.
The site maintainer, tanglefire, last posted on May 7th, basically saying she didn't want to maintain the site any longer, musing over the idea of turning it over to someone else. But she still is listed as the maintainer. There has been no other post but one since her announcement in May.
Therefore, I think I can write frodo_het off as a viable site. The entries still can be browsed for links and recs, of course. Quickly scrolling down the last smattering of entries (there are very few), it looks as though frodo_het affiliated with hobbit_het. Most of the names on frodo_het's friends list are also on the list for hobbit_het. Perhaps the maintainer thought her site had become redundant.
