I have to agree with you about the way Galadriel's transformation was handled in this scene. Cate's magnificent and actor enough to have conveyed all the peril and temptation of Galadriel with just her own face and voice. Elijah's reactions are incredible, and I would add a trace of disappointment that I see in the last two shots of his face, as he realizes that even Galadriel can't take the burden from him for fear of what it would do to her.
