'She lifted up her hand and from the ring that she wore there issued a great light that illumined her alone and left all else dark. She stood before Frodo seeming now tall beyond measurement, and beautiful beyond enduring, terrible and worshipful.'

It's a shame PJ didn't simply follow this book text, using Nenya's power to illustrate Galadriel's transformation, and let Cate Blanchett's acting do the rest. Perhaps the film-makers felt it might complicate matters by introducing another Ring of Power in the theatrical film ~ but Nenya's appearance in the EE is very brief.

'His face, as Frodo, is wonderful as he watches her, his hair streaming back like a figurehead's on the prow of ship heading into a gale....'

I love that description, and I love those 'streaming hair' screencaps.

...there's fear, dread, alarm, even grief—in succession and sometimes mixed together—but also awe.'

Elijah is so adept at conveying emotions using only facial expressions ~ particularly in his role as Frodo ~ and oh, those eyes can speak a thousand words!

Gorgeous screencaps, and I very much enjoyed reading your
commentary, Mechtild. Thank you.
