The moment Frodo ultimately loses his internal battle with the Ring is clearly seen (to me) in the caps above.

What a horrible moment that must have been.

Horrible indeed. It's a thoroughly riveting scene, isn't it Shelbyshire? (Hi, by the way!)

OMG!!! This epic fight told only with the changing of expressions is beautiful and hair-raising. The look in his eyes is an open book.
I so like this actor! It's a pity that he can't have in these day the right role for him.

I have always dreamed to be present durung the shooting of this scene and listen PJ's demands and suggestions.

Me, too, Estelanui. After these films had come out and were lauded to the skies by many, I was sure he would have been flooded with great roles. But it seems not to have happened. I am so, so sorry. He has a wonderful gift, but it seems to have gone largely unused since these films. He's still very young, though, so there's no need to despair of his ever getting another great role. Not a Frodo, in terms of nobility of character, but a "great" role in the sense that actors mean it: a role in which he can use to the utmost the inherent gifts and qualities he has.
