Thanks, Shirebound, I'm glad you've been liking the series so well. I love the films and love the book, but I have found it interesting and helpful to see the differences between them, especially the differences that alter the character of Frodo. But I've also been interested in how the differences make the films as such more or less effective for me. Overall, doing these posts has increased my appreciation for what the filmmakers accomplished, even though the places where I think they went astray bother me as much as ever. :)
